Cell Phones Update – 24–25 School Year

Reminder:

In an effort to support our students being present and engaged during the school day, cell phones and smartwatches are not permitted for students at any time while they are in the building. This includes before the 8:00 a.m. bell when students are in the cafeteria or in the hallways waiting for homeroom. If a student has a phone or smartwatch visible, at the staff member’s discretion, they can give a warning to have a child put their cell phone or smartwatch away prior to it becoming a 1st offense. For a 1st offense, the staff member will take the phone or smartwatch and turn it into the office, home will be contacted, and parents or guardians will need to pick up their child’s cell phone or smartwatch. In subsequent offenses parents will still need to pick up their child’s cell phone or smartwatch and further consequences may be given. We appreciate your support and partnership in reiterating the expectations.
